Asta and Yuno, orphans raised together, compete to become the Wizard King. Yuno possesses extraordinary talent, while Asta was born without magic and receives a five-leaf grimoire that lets him cancel spells with enormous swords; after joining the Bl…ack Bulls, he must turn that disadvantage into strength and defend the kingdom from conspiracies threatening commoners and nobles alike.
I'd recommend it because it has combat, fights and a group of misfits that ends up feeling like a family; furthermore, almost everyone has their moment to shine.
It's a good fit if you want a long shōnen, magic, healthy rivalries and a lot of improvement.
Unlike other heroes born without talent, Asta does not discover that he had a special magic: he remains without magic and fights, nullifying that of others with anti-magic.
More anime like Black Clover, selected by genre, theme and viewing style.
