I'd recommend it for its animation, its small details and the joy with which Akebi gets to know each classmate.
It's a good fit if you're looking for a slice of school life, friendship and a very calm series.
Unlike other school slices of life, everything starts with a uniform sewn by his mother that no one uses anymore; what could isolate Akebi ends up helping her get to know each companion.
