Sisa is drawn into an ancient conflict when the apus and other Andean deities return to reclaim their place in modern Peru. Guided by Nina, goddess of fire, she discovers that humans such as Pedro and Teresa are connected to Illapa and Supay; the gro…up crosses locations in Lima and Cajamarca to prevent a catastrophe threatening the balance between the spiritual and earthly worlds.
Give it a shot if you want a fantasy with Peruvian identity, Andean gods and a setting that we almost never see treated like this in animation.
It's a good fit if you're interested in Latin American mythology and stories that unite current problems with ancient forces.
What makes it really different is its Peruvian origin: Sisa, Nina and the conflict are born from gods, memory and Andean landscapes, not from an interchangeable Japanese mythology.
