Why it is worth watching
I'd recommend it because it is warm, calm and each encounter between Natsume and a yokai leaves a small story that usually touches a lot.
Takashi Natsume and his loyal feline protector Madara take a trip to Hitoyoshi Kuma, a peaceful area in Kumamoto. From admiring the Kaname Falls to relaxing at the Tsurukame hot spring, the duo unwind and take in the beautiful scenery throughout the… eventful day.

It's a good fit if you're looking for serene fantasy, emotional episodes, and comforting company.
What separates it from other spirit series is that Natsume does not want to gather more power: he uses the inherited book to return one by one the names that his grandmother stole.
