Ten’ikai General Hospital’s Supervisory Department of Diagnostic Pathology handles cases other physicians deem too difficult to treat. It’s also where bizarre mysteries surface, from unexplained illnesses to strange murders even the police can’t solv…e. At the center of it all is Takao Ameku, a brilliant doctor determined to reveal the shocking truth behind these anomalies.
I'd recommend it for its medical cases and for seeing Ameku find an explanation where the entire hospital had already stopped searching.
It's a good fit if you're looking for procedural mystery, diagnoses, and a brilliant protagonist.
What sets it apart from the classic detective is that the clues are real medical symptoms; Ameku receives cases that no specialist can explain and finds the crime within the diagnosis.
