I'd recommend it for its street fights, its characters, and how good it feels to see Sakura discover that she can earn a place without always being alone.
It's a good fit if you're looking for school delinquents, hand-to-hand action, and a group that ends up functioning as a family.
What distinguishes it from other gang anime is that the strongest students do not seek to dominate the neighborhood: they protect it, and Sakura learns that hitting well is not enough to win over people.
