Humanity lives around the roots of giant trees or high in an orbital canopy because an ocean of snow covers the planet and keeps rising. Kaina, one of the last young people in the canopy, finds Princess Liliha after she climbs up seeking a solution t…o the water shortage; together they return to the surface and become caught in the war between Atland and Valghia while searching for a sage who can save the Great Snow Sea.

I'd recommend it for its landscapes, its exploration and a planet so strange that you want to understand how someone can continue living there.
You'll like this if you're looking for quiet sci-fi, travel, and visually huge worlds.
What sets it apart is the world itself: the snow works like an ocean, people live between roots and a giant canopy, and traveling means moving vertically.
