Dante makes a living hunting demons while avoiding the fact that he is the son of the legendary demon Sparda. When an organization led by Vice President Baines recruits him to prevent an invasion, he crosses paths with Lady and the mysterious White R…abbit, who plans to open a gateway between worlds using the amulet belonging to Dante and his brother; the mission turns a routine hunt into a battle over his family's legacy.
I'd recommend it for Dante, his jokes, his swords and his way of making hunting demons look like a very stylish job.
It's a good fit if you're looking for action, monsters and protagonists who falter even when everything gets ugly.
What distinguishes Dante from other legendary hunters is how unlegendary his daily life is: he kills demons between debts, pizzas and assignments from a half-ruined agency.
More anime like Devil May Cry, selected by genre, theme and viewing style.
