I'd recommend it for its slow tension and because it makes a small town become more and more suffocating with each neighbor who gets sick.
It's a good fit if you're looking for horror, vampires and a conflict where both sides fight to survive.
What distinguishes it from other vampire anime is that we live with humans and shiki before the slaughter; when the people fight back, it is no longer easy to decide who the monster is.
