Yang Jian, a heavenly god charged with eliminating threats to the Three Realms, is cast down into the human world as spiritual energy begins to run dry. Stripped of his former position and accompanied by the Howling Celestial Dog, now reincarnated as… a young girl, he must battle demons and discover who is causing the crisis before he can reclaim his place among the gods.
I recommend it if you fancy Chinese mythology, divine powers, and seeing an ancient god get by in the human world with a lot less authority.
It's a good fit if you're looking for fantastic adventure, humor, and a protagonist who needs to recover more than just his strength.
Unlike the typical ascension to godhood, Yang Jian begins expelled from heaven and accompanied by his former celestial dog, now reincarnated as a girl.
