Pazu, an engineer's apprentice, finds Sheeta floating down from the sky, protected by the crystal around her neck. They discover that the stone points toward Laputa, a floating city believed to be a legend, and begin searching for it while air pirate…s and government agents pursue them to seize its ancient military technology.
I'd recommend it because it has good adventure: pirates, flying machines, robots and a lost city that you really want to discover.
It's perfect to watch with the family or if you're looking for classic fantasy with two very easy-to-love protagonists.
What sets it apart from other stories of lost cities is that Laputa is both Pazu's dream of adventure and a weapon capable of subduing the world.
